The Inca Road hike with llamas was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Peru. Our guide, Elias, was outstanding—knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely friendly throughout the journey. He shared fascinating insights along the way, and we would gladly book another adventure with him in the future.
The 10 km (6-mile) trek offered breathtaking mountain views and a wonderful variety of terrain, making the hike both scenic and engaging from start to finish. Having the llamas accompany us while carrying our delicious lunch added a special touch to an already unforgettable experience. Enjoying that lunch while overlooking the remarkable ruins of Huchuy Qosqo made for an incredible and uniquely Peruvian adventure.
While the altitude does require some acclimatization, we found the hike to be very manageable for both the adults in our group and our 9-year-old. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a rewarding hike, stunning scenery, and an authentic experience in the Sacred Valley.

My wife, son and I did the Adventurous Coffee Route to Machu PIcchu. What an incredible adventure and enjoyable trip! We appreciated the immersive, local and unique nature of the 4-day tour - a great mix of taxi's, hikes, trains and local home stays and meals. Most days, we were the only ones on the jungle trails and our guide, Abel, gave insight into the vegetation, animals and sites we saw along the way. He shared his indigenous Quechuan customs and history with us, which added depth and meaning to the site and sounds. Every day held a special adventure (coffee roasting, crossing the river on cable car, eating fruits from the trees, meeting families, etc). Highly recommend!
